Obligatory about me page
My name is Tasha Bee and I have been a self-employed therapist for over 20 years. I love animals and previously owned 2 dogs and 2 horses who I included in therapy sessions when appropriate. Unfortunately, in early 2026 I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that affect the muscles in my core and my legs. I currently need to use a wheelchair outside the house and have only one dog now - a greyhound 🐶called Nathan, AKA Shitbag because he is. He can often be seen lurking in the background during video calls.
I like music - I can play a few instruments 🎸 and sing 🎤 but not in public. I loooooooooooooooooove animals - any really - and miss having a zoo around me. I am really good at training animals - my favourites are dogs and horses. I try to take Nate out with me in the wheelchair but he lacks spatial awareness and has walked straight into the wheelchair and several recycling bins.😕 I read a lot - fiction and non-fiction and watch a lot of films and tv.
Most of us in this country are taught to supress our emotions and push through emotionally difficult situations. I only did this for so long before I encountered a situation I could not supress - a vile miscarriage at 38 weeks, followed by a marriage break up and a career change. Training as a therapist meant I had to undergo my own therapeutic journey during which I began to see my emotions as a source of power rather than the enemy.
